ABOUT BENIDORM

Benidorm is the leading destination on the Costa Blanca coast, Millions of tourist flock here each year to sample a few of the many Bar’s, Restaurants, and Nightlife Benidorm has to offer. Benidorm is situated in the centre of a large bay with 2 large sandy beach’s Levante beach & Poniente beach, approximately about 2km’s long each, separated by the Old Town and Canfali Hill which is a headland providing stunning views of both beach’s and also across to Benidorm Island (Peacock Island) it also forms shelter for the harbour situated on the Poniente side. The Levante side was developed first providing home for many of the British bars, restaurants, and nightlife. The promenade along Levante Beach has very little traffic and is a very pleasant stroll from the Rincon area to the Old Town or visa-versa where you can stop off at one or many of the many bars and restaurants for a little refreshment. While Poniente has more of a Spanish nature and more relaxed atmosphere, while the Old Town has the hustle & bustle of a typical Spanish town with narrow cobbled streets and many Tapas bars, where you’ll find local residents and holiday makers alike sat watching the world go by.

Terra Mitica is one of Benidorm’s main tourist attractions, set at the foot of the mountains that over look Benidorm just a 10 min ride away, there is something for all age groups, if you’re not an adrenaline junkie then opt for some of the gentle water rides, even kiddies don’t miss out with many small rides which are replicas of the adult versions.With Five themed area’s; Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, Ancient Spain and the Mediterranean Islands to visit give yourself plenty of time. Terra Natura

Terra Natura is situated next to terra mitica set in the foot of the mountains that overlook benidorm. It is described as a zoo/safari park, A zoo because certain animals are in enclosures (lions, elephants, alligators, etc) and a safari because you can walk through some enclosures and even touch some animals (donkeys, deers, goats, parrots, etc) also there is a water park with 700 mtrs of slides, but it is essentially an animal park. Again like terra mitica, terra natura is split into continents. Each continent has the animals, vegetation, shows, rides and themed restaurants to that specific continent. You can take a train ride around the park or for the braver out there take a zip ride over the elephant enclosure, or for the even braver go swimming with the baby sharks. When you’ve had enough excitement for one day and want to cool down head to the water park and just relax on a sunbed while the kids play in the lake size swimming pool, water slides and play area, so don’t forget your towels and swimwear. Benidorm palace is well worth a visit with an array of top professional artists from around the world to entertain you. From dancers, magicians, acrobats, singers and mime artists, you name it they’ve got it. The show changes every 6 months so you never know what to expect, except to be entertained. The costumes alone have cost over £1million alone. There are 3 ticket options 1.) show + meal in centre stage seating Adults €50 Under 13’s €21. 2.) show + meal adults €42 under 13’s €21. 3.) or just the show €27 under 10’s free. You get an excellent view from all areas. Your first drink is free, so get an expensive one, and if you ask for a bowl of nuts, thats free too.... Photographers come round and take a few pictures so you can pick which ones you want (no obligation but an excellent souvenir) and these cost only 5 euros each and the programmes cost 6 euros each. Doors open at 9pm with dinner served soon after and showtime starts at 10-30pm. How to get there; taxi’s are very inexpensive from all areas of benidorm. benidorm palace is located just on the very edge of benidorm and a 10 min walk from the indoor market heading towards altea/albir.
